ELISHA+LAURA || Sydney Wedding

For those of you who are wed or planning to, you will be able to appreciate that when you are planning the day you tie the knot, you imagine a day where the warmth of the sun bursts through your window early in the morning with the joyful sound of birds singing and playing in the trees.  You imagine  your bridal party in the morning praising the weather and feeling a day of perfection ahead as you get ready for the biggest day of your life. 999 times out of 1000 every one will be planning for a sunny day on their wedding or at least would like a sunny day.  I am yet to come across a couple that desire to have a wedding day that has torrential rain... And rightly so!

Elisha+Laura are one of those couple that joins all of us that desires a sunny day on our wedding, but unfortunately mother nature didn't seem to be working from the same blueprint for the day.  On the morning of their wedding it was torrential rain and forecast for more rain. With an outdoor ceremony planned it was time to head inside for an intimate plan 'B'.

It's times like these when I see a bride rise above the weather conditions and decide to enjoy the day regardless of the lack of sunshine that really makes me stoked to be a wedding photographer.

Here's the highlights from Elisha+Laura's wedding at Long Reef Golf Course on Sydney's Northern Beaches.  We even had a break in the rain and dashed outside for some shots...

Enjoy!

STRUAN+ABI || London Wedding

In a fairy tale setting, nothing short of enchantment, a perfect day was poetically created for the wedding of Struan and Abigail Wardlaw. The perfection of their companionship was celebrated by their close friends and families, in the iconic London landscape of Richmond. I could not have been any happier to be in my favourite city, seeing my close friend marry his dream girl. Amongst the food, wine and laughter, the tear-evoking speeches and wild dance floor antics were definitely highlights of the day. Thank you Stru and Ab for this amazing opportunity to capture and tell your story through the lens.

JASON+JESS || Sydney Wedding

Laced trimmings, fairy lights and autumn enchantments themed the wedding of high-school sweet hearts, Jason+Jess. The impecable detail that was carefully thought out was truly a highlight of the day, only second to the stunning bride! The atmosphere was incredible, filled with the anticipation of friends and family that gathered to witness the long awaited marriage of the love-birds. It is always a pleasure to shoot weddings, but this one was especially fun - being able to capture this amazing day, between two very good friends of mine.

CHAD+LIZ

On Saturday 12th March 2011, high school sweet hearts, Chad and Liz tied the knot next to the Sydney Harbour Bridge at Dawes Point Reserve followed by a lunch time reception on a Captain Cook Cruise.

It was a stella day with great weather and amazing people! It was, as always, a real honour to shoot this wedding for such an amazing young couple!
