THE IMPORTANCE OF A PORTRAIT

As the saying goes... ‘A picture can tell 1000 words.’ And it certainly can if captured in the right moment. 

A good story is falling in love with the details of each character, because their face, their smile, their adventurous spirit becomes so vividly real as you endeavour deeper into their journey. A good story is extracting every ounce of will power within you, so as to avoid flicking the pages between your fingers to quickly glance at how it ends. A good story buries you deep into the details of the excitedly beating heart, the cascading laced gown, the joyful eyes of parents finding out they are going to be grandparents, the proudly worn weathered smiles of grandparents.

A good story is your story. 

Everyone has a story. Wether you feel like it’s worth being told or not, the fact is that your story is worth being told. That’s why I prioritise getting to know you a little before every shoot, because I want to tell your story and bring out your true character when you’re in front of the camera.
